The Governor of New York State more accurately called out the need now for physical rather than social distancing and he’s right. Words are important at this time as they do affect our state of mind.
Staying connected or having a heart connection is one of the best things that we can do to boost our immune system. Talking to someone we trust and love, sharing laughter.
We are inundated with sombre news these days and while we need to be aware of what’s happening we need to keep our sense of perspective to build the resilience to see us through these changing times.
An important strategy that I use is first, accepting how I feel, second, being OK with it and only then moving on to thinking about changing it to a positive situation. Most people try to skip the first part of being OK with their emotions.
