Ayurveda
Ayurveda is the oldest medical science in the world and is best seen as a life science where you learn how to live a healthy and harmonious life. The basic tenet of Ayurveda is that prevention is better than cure and it works on the root cause of diseases and how to prevent them. Issues relieved through Ayurvedic therapy include anxiety, insomnia, stress, depression, allergies, asthma, bronchitis, infertility, anemia, low energy, recurrent colds and cough, flu, being over or under weight, low immunity and many chronic diseases.
Dr. Shveta provides a number of Ayurvedic massage therapies using Ayurvedic herbal oils including:
- Marma facial massage (1 hour: $750 per session or $2000 for 3 sessions)
Marma points facial massage opens blocked marma points, detoxifies the body, balances the doshas and eliminates fine lines and wrinkles. - Head massage (1 hour: $800 per session or $2100 for 3 sessions)
Marma point massage as well as the whole head and neck massage using ayurvedic oils to improve circulation, help in the growth of hair, remove toxins and dandruff, and heal the chakras. - Body Massage (90 minutes: $1100 per session or $2900 for 3 sessions)
Ayurvedic herbal oils are used to ease stiffness in the body and balance the doshas as well as to increase circulation in the body, stimulate and strengthen the lymph system, cleanse, heal and improve the immune response, and release stress.
Dr. Shveta also holds consultations to determine your basic body type and doshas so that she can recommend a diet and lifestyle specific to you that will bring your body back to balance and harmony. During your consultation (about an hour for $1100), Dr. Shveta may suggest other therapies directly relevant to the conditions that you have. There will then be a follow-up session a couple of weeks later to assess the effectiveness of the changes you have made.
