Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy is a system of energy balancing involving bodywork, counseling, therapeutic exercise and nutrition. It is based on the work of Dr. Randolph Stone who integrated his work as a Naturopath, Osteopath and Chiropractor with the eastern concepts of energy flow found in the Ayurvedic system of India, as well as the Chinese and Egyptian Hermetic System.

A session usually consists of about an hour of hands-on bodywork, involving a series of both light and deep contact to release the energy and allow it to re-establish a normal balanced flow. This results in deep relaxation, allowing for a release of tension and chronic pain and providing an opportunity for you to discover more about your mental and emotional blocks and how to develop a healthy attitude toward life.

The counseling process is an integral part of the work and gives you an insight into the causes of your stress and helps you find the key to overcoming problems. Corrective exercises and nutritional advice are an important part of the process.

For the first 20 minutes, the focus is on the head, neck and shoulders, then on the abdominal area, feet and back. Most people feel a significant change after just one treatment, but many prefer to have more treatments to gain the most from Polarity Therapy and to manage their health fully.

Nuad Bo-Rarn (Traditional Northern Thai Medical Massage)

This is a unique form of body therapy, dating back at least 2000 years, that incorporates Hatha Yoga and Acupressure. This particular form has been passed down from the father of massage ‘Dr. Shivago Komarpaj’, the doctor of the Buddha.

Gentle rocking, deep stretching and compressions assist the restructuring of the musculo-skeletal framework. Benefits include release of stress and an increase in energy, an improvement to circulation,
a strengthening of internal organs and relief from pain. Just as no two people respond to any stimulus in precisely the same way, people vary in their response to Thai Massage. A person who is relaxed, open to growth and new experiences will benefit the most. Someone who is more tense, rigid or fearful will still benefit, but to a lesser degree.
