Bowen Therapy
ISBT- Bowen Therapy is a dynamic fascial and muscle release technique in which the practitioner applies gentle "rolling" cross-fibre movements on specific points on the muscles, tendons and ligaments to promote improved flow of blood, lymph and energy. Each movement is usually applied in a precise sequence and, when required, these sequences create self-correcting structural changes that promote overall body balance. Bowen Therapy takes a minimalist approach to bodywork, doing away with the need for repetitive and often invasive action.
You will benefit if you suffer from any of the following:
- Low, middle or upper back pain or stiffness
- Neck pain or stiffness, including wryneck and whiplash problems
- Shoulder or arm problems, including Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, tennis elbow, etc.
- Sinusitis, eye, ear or nose and throat problems
- Sciatica and pain in the groin, hip or buttock
- Thigh, hamstring or knee problems
- Lower leg, ankle or foot complaints
- Lymph or circulatory problems
ISBT - Bowen Therapy often alleviates asthma and other respiratory problems and its impact on other visceral (organ) problems can be profound, eg. kidney, bladder, stomach or lungs.
