Reflexology
Reflexology is a study of the reflexes of the feet, corresponding to every part of the body. Working on these reflexes eases tension and helps the body find its own equilibrium. If any area of the body deserves your best attention, it is the foot. In the sole of the foot literally thousands of nerve endings are concentrated. The opposite ends of these nerves are located all over the rest of the body. The foot, in effect, is a map of the entire body and no muscle, gland, or organ, whether internal or external, is without a set of nerves whose opposite ends are anchored in the foot.
Congested areas can feel tight and dull to sharp sensations when pressure is applied. Tensions and toxins form within the upper parts of the body and with gravity these toxins tend to flow downward and accumulate within the nerve endings in the feet. Reflexology is a good tension and toxin release.
